What’s the difference between the kinds of carpet you stock?

We stock a variety of 100% wool, wool blends (made of 80% wool and 20% synthetic material), and 100% synthetic material carpet. The major synthetic materials used are solution dyed nylon and polypropenes, but there is a huge variety and often created specifically for a specific brand.

In terms of differences between them, wool is inarguably the best kind of carpet, being durable, naturally anti-allergenic, naturally stain resistant, and biodegradable. However, it is generally more expensive than the other kinds of carpet. Synthetic carpets are also durable, have good yarn memory (bouncing back better from furniture indents), can be dyed well and keep their colour, and go through a protective process to prevent spills and stains from not lifting from the carpet.
